Replacing Items in the Minibar Unethical?


In Sunday's New York Times, ethicist Randy Cohen tells a traveler that replacing the Oreos he ate from the minibar with an identical box bought at a convenience store in an effort to save a few bucks is wrong, as "The hotel is providing not just a product but also a service." We're going to disagree with Randy on this one. The reader also provided a service by walking to the convenience store to get the cookies.
