"When dressing for an airplane trip, one should be mindful of the duration and the destination," says Tim Gunn. "Comfort should surely be an aspect of one's clothing equation, but polish should be a component, too. I always think: What if we have an emergency landing and there's a photo on the cover of The New York Times? And to those who scoff at this silly man who praises polish and nurtures paranoia, I have the following maxim: If you want to dress to feel as though you never got out of bed … then don't."
